In partnership with the E-type Club we shall be organising a couple of tours and a weekend celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-type, one of the most iconic cars in the world.
We are planning a tour through France, Switzerland and Italy, to recreate a number of the routes of The Italian Job film, for which we also have the original red E-type from the film, 848 CRY. On this tour we shall also be visiting Geneva, venue of the launch of the car in 1961, again with the original prototype, 9600 HP.
We shall then return to the UK for the Jaguar E-type weekend at Silverstone Classic from 22nd to 24th July 2011.
On Sunday 24 July we shall flag off a UK based tour for E-types. The exact details are yet to be confirmed
We shall be updating details as they become available, but the tours and weekend event will take place in July/August 2011 – exact tour dates to be confirmed.
We anticipate the Italian Job Tour will be from Saturday 9 July to Thursday 21 July, and the UK Tour will be from Sunday 24 July to Monday 1 August 2011.
