Following on from last year’s successful and inaugral XK Club Northern Dinner, the 2010 dinner will be held at the Coniston Hotel in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
We are privileged to have David Kenworthy as our guest speaker. David was formerly Chief Constable of North Yorkshire, and now the Chairman of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
This year we shall also be including a Sunday Run, devised by Mike Griffiths. Sunday 25th April is National Drive It Day, so this is a great opportunity to get your XK on the road in what will hopefully be some lovely springtime weather, and a chance to explore the local area. The price for the Sunday Run is £35 per person, which includes a two course lunch back at the Coniston Hotel.
Venue
Conveniently located on the A65 Skipton to Kendal road, amidst 1400 acres of spectacular Yorkshire Dales scenery centered round a 24-acre lake, the 50 bedroom Coniston Hotel is the ideal destination for the XK Club Northern Dinner.
The hotel is family run and independently owned by the Bannister family and is set on a private country estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
The food at The Coniston Hotel is outstanding and justifiably famous amongst those who enjoy beautifully cooked and exquisitely presented food.
Freshly Prepared. All the food is freshly prepared and sourced locally from the Yorkshire Dales wherever possible and produce from the Coniston Estate features regularly.
